Best Practices Pt 1: Make BandPage your default landing tab

Now that I’ve got my BandPage up, how do I get the most out of it? Make it your default landing tab!
Let your fans see the BandPage – if BandPage is the first thing they see on your Facebook fan page, the music is the first thing they’ll hear, they’ll watch your videos, and they’ll be able to check out your tour dates. And after listening to your music, chances are you’ll have a new fan and a new like on your Facebook page. When a fan likes your page, they automatically subscribe to your news feed – your status updates, shared songs and upcoming shows will show up on their wall. Check out the video and instructions to learn how:

You can change the default landing tab by going to the edit page button in the upper right hand corner of your wall. There, go to the Default Landing Tab section and select BandPage. Know that you can only change the default landing tab for new fans. Returning fans and admins will always land on the wall. Be sure to move the BandPage to the top of your apps list by clicking and dragging – that way returning fans can easily find the BandPage.

    • Hey Keri,

You can only change the default landing tab for non-fans. Admins and returning fans will always land on the wall. We know that making the BandPage the default landing tab for everybody would be valuable, so we’re looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience!
